eBanka started issuing chip payment cards
From April 18, 2006, eBanka started issuing VISA Classic and VISA Electron chip payment cards. Other card products of eBanka will be equipped with a chip in the next few weeks.
Chip cards increase security by requiring PIN upon every transaction, including payments at a retailer equipped with a terminal certified for accepting chip cards. eBanka issues chip payment cards under the same pricing conditions as the current payment cards without a chip.
eBanka’s chip cards are issued for 3 years. Clients will have their non-chip payment cards replaced for chip cards within standard automatic renewals; therefore, it is not necessary to end validity of the current card and to apply for a chip payment card.
eBanka is a universal bank for solvent individuals and small and medium sized companies.
